Terms of Service
Last updated: July 4, 2026
1. Who we are
BookLocally (“BookLocally”, “we”, “us”) is an online scheduling platform, operated from Phoenix, Arizona, that lets local service businesses (“Businesses”) publish a booking page and manage appointments, and lets their customers (“Customers”) book those appointments online.
By creating an account, making a booking through a BookLocally booking page, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
2. BookLocally is a scheduling tool, not a party to bookings
When a Customer books an appointment with a Business through BookLocally, the resulting agreement is between the Customer and that Business. BookLocally does not provide the underlying services, does not employ or vet the Businesses on the platform, does not set their prices, and is not a party to the transaction.
Any payment for a Business’s services happens directly between the Customer and the Business, outside of BookLocally. We do not process, hold, or refund Customer payments. Questions or disputes about a service, its price, or its quality should be directed to the Business.
3. Accounts
Businesses sign in with an email magic link or a Google account. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email account secure — anyone who can read your email can access your BookLocally account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create a Business account.
4. Plans, billing, and refunds
BookLocally offers a Free plan and a paid Pro subscription. Pro is billed as a recurring subscription (currently monthly) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro features until then.
Refunds.Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We don’t prorate partial periods. If you believe you’ve been charged in error, contact us at [email protected] before disputing the charge with your bank — billing mistakes are resolved quickly, and a chargeback filed without contacting us first may result in account suspension.
Changes.We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period. Downgrading to Free may disable Pro features, but your data is retained.
5. Business responsibilities
If you use BookLocally as a Business, you agree to:
- describe your services, prices, and availability accurately;
- honor appointments booked through your page, or communicate promptly if you can’t;
- use Customer information (names, contact details, addresses, access notes) only to deliver the booked services, and protect it — never sell it or use it for unrelated marketing without the Customer’s consent;
- comply with the laws that apply to your business, including licensing and consumer-protection rules.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use BookLocally to:
- do anything unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent, or list services you don’t actually provide;
- send spam or make bookings you don’t intend to keep;
- probe, overload, scrape, or interfere with the service or other users’ data;
- impersonate another person or business.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Your content and data
You own the content and data you put into BookLocally (business details, service descriptions, customer records). You grant us the license needed to host, display, and transmit it in order to operate the service — for example, showing your booking page to the public and sending appointment emails on your behalf. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Referral program
Approved partners may refer Businesses to BookLocally using invite links. Commission figures shown in the partner portal are estimates until paid out. We may modify or end the referral program, and may withhold commissions earned through fraud, self-referral, or misleading promotion.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that bookings, reminders, or emails will always be delivered, or that any Business or Customer will perform as expected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookLocally will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Termination
You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, non-payment, legal risk, or extended inactivity, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 2, 9, 10, and 12) survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we’ll give notice (for example, by email to Business accounts) before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
